How To Apply

To be admitted to graduate study in chemistry at the University of Georgia, a student must have earned a bachelor's or master's degree in Chemistry or a closely related field and should have a distinguished undergraduate record. Applications are accepted for Fall semester enrollment. Some special fellowship opportunities such as UGA Graduate School Assistantships and Presidential Fellowships require an application deadline of December 15. All applicants will automatically be considered for these special fellowships upon receipt of a completed application. Therefore, we suggest that the prospective student arrange for his or her application materials to arrive as early as possible. Please contact the Chemistry Graduate Program for additional information about these special fellowship opportunities. The Departmental Application Completion Deadline is January 31 and this is to guarantee your application will receive full consideration by the Departmental Admissions Committee. We will still review applications after that deadline, but we cannot guarantee full consideration if your application remains incomplete past that date.
